So we rented this movie this last weekend. Wow. What a mistake! For anyone who has been wanting to see it, and hasn't had the chance yet... I am posting this to save you from what feels like 7 hours of your life just.... gone... just like that. Ok, it's really just under 3 hours... but it feels like it NEVER ends. There are like 6 plots and just when you think, ok, it's GOT to be almost over, they start another plot! AAUGGHHH! After the first 2 hours, we were feeling pretty anxious for it to be over and Jason just wanted to shut it off. I have this thing where as long as the movie isn't creepy or really dirty.... I HAVE to see how it ends. I kept telling Jason that it has to be coming to an end soon.... and he didn't believe it.... and he was right! The last 45 minutes or so, we watched on fast forward, and even with that I was getting annoyed about the continuing... and the continuing of yet another plot! Not to mention, I was a bit confused about several details from the very beginning. Pretty much the only redeeming quality was that the kid was cute. But that was it! I dare say this movie was not even worth the $1 we spent to rent it! It wasted 3 hours of my life that I can never get back! Please do not make this same mistake! It is for your own benefit!Ok, I'm done, and I'm now breathing ok again....

Seen it and you're right. It never ends and the plots are so much different than you think. Just when Dave and I thought we knew what the point of the movie was, it would change. So, at the end we had to have a big recap to figure out what the point was. But Nicole's pretty, even though her character did a 360 in the film from the beginning. I thought she was a perfect british woman, then suddenly she's chasin' cows with dirt all over her face...Hugh Jackman was cute. Dave laughed heartily at the scene where he dumped water all over himself and showed off all of his muscles. (When I say heartily, I mean out loud in a movie theater, heartily...)
So...anyway. We can relate.
I totally agree! Seriously that movie could have ended like 20 times! We did the same thing - we had to see the end even though it wasn't worth it. I was confused a lot of the time too and I thought the kid was super annoying!
Thanks for the tip. I won't waste my $1.00. I hate movies like that and I'm not a Nicole Kidman fan anyway.
'A ver' is right! We felt the same, but we didn't have the stamina to even fast forward to the end. We stopped toward the end and neither of us said anything about returning to it to finish. We are glad that we only spent only $1 on it instead of two movie tickets.
Oh yuck, we hated that movie! I couldn't have been happier to return it back to Redbox. It really could have ended about ten times and it really drove me crazy that Nicole Kidman's character drastically changed personalities mid-movie. I agree with everything you said and would never recommend this movie to anyone.
We liked it but one time was enough. It is weird how the plot is continuously changing and we wondered when it would end when we watched it too.
